Adoptable Pets

Green Iguana, juvenile ADOPTED

I have two Green Iguana juveniles, one of which is available for adoption, and the other will be soon.  I do not normally take in Green Igs, because of the difficulty placing them, but these two needed help badly.  The larger of the two is ready for a home, but the smaller still has a bit of rehabbing to go before he is ready for a new home.

Both babies came to me in BAD shape, although the one available now was the better of the two.  Both were severely dehydrated and horribly mite infested (to the point it appeared they were covered in bloody streaks.  It was the red mites.)  The both have profuse burn scars, and will never fully regrow their spines or toes.  Both are on the mend, eating and drinking and will survive.

I will be EXTREMELY picky about who adopts these two.  Worst case scenario is that you end up with a 6' + lizard that hates your guts.  They are not easy to care for, and require expansive housing.  I will be evaluating all potential homes very closely.

Adoption fees are $15 each.  Adoption fees are not final and may/can be waived at my discretion.

Spiny Tail Iguana, male (Ctenosaura similis) ADOPTED

Age unknown, SVL of approximately 12", and 2 1/2' total from nose to tail.  Found abandoned in an apple orchard in Comstock Park, MI.

Most likely wild caught, he is NOT tame.  This is not a child's pet, or a reptile for a first time owner or someone who cannot deal with a potentially aggressive animal.

Healthy, and eating well.  Very well marked.

Adoption fee $30.  Adoption fees are not final and may/can be waived at my discretion.

Red Eared Slider, male (Al) ADOPTED

Age unknown, Shell carapace length of 4 1/2 inches. Requires a minimum 55 gallon aquarium. May be housed in a 50 gallon Rubbermaid tub with proper lighting, filtration, and heat.

Adoption fee is $15. Adoption fees are not final and may/can be waived at my discretion.

Al is now healthy and eating well. He was previously kept together with Marlin (another 4+ inch RES) in a ten gallon aquarium, with two inches of water and no basking area by a young boy.   He was showing some aggression to Marlin, and may not be housed with another turtle.

Ornate Nile Monitor  ADOPTED

Age 1 year and 3 months, sex unknown, 3 feet in length currently.  Feeding on shrimp, frozen or live mice, raw fish, giant meal worms, crickets, and grasshoppers.  He is currently living in a household with three people and a dog, but is in a bedroom where he has no interaction with the dog. He is by himself most of the time and does get stressed with commotion. He is pretty aggressive, not to attack but to flee.

Will not go to an inexperienced home.  Please fill out an adoption application if you would like to give this guy a forever home.

This is an adoption coordinated by me, and this animal is located in Allen Park, MI 48101.  Adoption contract still applies.  Please contact for more information.  This animal is pick-up only.

Ball Python  ADOPTED
